Muzical Lane: Inclusive Piano Books for Every Learner
Muzical Lane is a colour-coded piano book series designed for beginners, including neurodiverse and visually impaired students. It blends clear structure, fun visuals, and thoughtful pacing to make learning music more accessible — and joyful.
Why I Created Muzical Lane
Muzical Lane was born from personal experience. My nephew has Congenital Idiopathic Nystagmus, a condition where the eyes move involuntarily, causing visual impairment that can’t be corrected with glasses. He also has Sensory Processing Disorder, which affects how the brain interprets information from the senses.
Despite these challenges, he loves music and playing the piano. I searched for a method that would truly meet his needs — something that supported visual accessibility while giving him the same sense of ownership and learning as any other student.
While many piano methods offered great features, none felt right for him. So, I created my own.
As a music teacher with over 20 years of experience, I developed this book to combine colour, clarity, and confidence-building strategies — rooted in both teaching practice and lived family experience.

Meet the Books
This is the first book in the Muzical Lane series — a very easy piano collection designed to build confidence in reading music and recognising piano keys.
The second book in the series continues the clear, colour-coded approach — helping students progress from basic note recognition to simple melodies.
This third book introduces more rhythmic variety and left-hand notes, while keeping layout and pacing accessible for every learner.
A festive edition of the series featuring holiday favourites — arranged with the same accessible design and colour-coded notes as the core books.
